Great location with a gorgeous view of the vineyard. Comfy room, very quiet. Well stocked coffee nook. The only thing missing was soap for the shower. I'd definitely stay here again!
My husband and I went to Naramata area to do some wine tasting and to just get away from it all. We were very happily surprised at this B & B, which I booked a day before we left (last minute). It is very close to the Hillside Winery and Bistro, literally walking distance. The only thing is - as I expected from other reviews, when you arrive the door is locked and no one seems there. I went around a corner to the left and saw some rubber boots and knocked on a little door on the left side of the house. A young man answered, I believe his name is Dustin and he seemed surprised to see us. But within a moment he saw our booking and showed us to our room. He gave us a bottle of Quidli wine which we actually haven't tried yet, we took it home with us. This is the last time we saw him, however he did bring us a full litre of cream for our coffee in the morning and fresh fruit and granola bars. The room was great - just like the pictures. The moment we arrived I opened the curtains and saw the 2 white horses, it was very nice. I loved the view of the lake and vineyards, so relaxing and peaceful. As other reviews mentioned you are only given 1 set of towels - but we didn't find this an issue. We enjoyed the privacy and comfort of this place. For us, we like to be left alone and we were the only ones in the house during our stay. We will be back!
This is sort of a DIY hotel experience as there was no lobby or concierge, which I preferred for this trip (this is just my experience -- perhaps the owners are around sometimes). We had the trail view room (#3) with a south-facing balcony that has a view of the road, but a more impressive view of Okanagan Lake and the surrounding rolling hills. The room is spotlessly clean and bright, has a comfy king-sized bed, deep-soaker tub and separate shower -- just a few things you can expect from this well-decorated suite! I loved the rustic furniture and the wood-panelled ceilings. The AC and fan were most appreciated in the heat of the Naramata bench. There's a small common kitchen with a large fridge to hold your wine or leftovers. Pentiction proper is not far, but Quidni is very quiet. We had a very pleasant experience at Quidni. We will try to come back!
Nice guest house BUT needs a few improvements or additions. The check in is done in the wine tasting room( a bit awkward with people tasting wine).
Missing many items that should be in a room: no bar of soap( just liquid soap), no iron( we were there for a wedding) no mugs or water glasses in the room.
We loved this place. There are no staff to check you in or out but they have an on site manager for issues. Codes to get emailed to you a week before.
Pros: comfy bed, great views, soaker tub, patio, air conditioning, wifi, snacks outside room (granola bars, banana, coffee), located in the middle of the bench, good wines
Cons: no blackout curtains allows for a bright room quite early, squeaky floor outside room when others are getting coffee, room codes are hopefully changed frequently as easy to guess others room code
This guest house is perfect. The room is gorgeous and the view and location is right in the middle of the Naramata wineries. The beautiful Kettle Valley trail is literally across the street. The shower and soaker tub are luxurious. The bed is so comfortable. The owners provide complimentary wine tastings of their creations and even some quick breakfast options to get your day started. Highly recommend for a couple get away!
My wife and I were there for the Penticton Gran Fondo. The hotel was close to Penticton, has great wines, morning coffee and light breakfast ideas. It is a bit noisy right on the main street to Naramata. But the room was excellent value for the amount we paid. The owners are very pleasant and treated us royally. And the wine tasting was fantastic.
Wonderful find among great area of wineries. Pentiction is just a beautiful part of BC, but finding this winery to stay was the highlight. We were greeted with wine by a wonderful hostess and made to feel right at home. The room was exactly as pictured on the booking website and the view from our balcony was even more spectacular. This was not a B&B, but a well-appointed separate private room and bath within the winery. Snacks, fruit, coffee and tea were available in a small loft area for all the guests. There are only 3 rooms for guests - so very quiet. We could easily walk to a number of wineries on the same road, as well as a restaurant. More wineries, as well as restaurants/coffee shops are a short drive along the same road and at a nearby village. The area is comparable to Napa in wineries, but with a more quaint and welcoming feel and with the added spectacular views of the lake and hillsides.
Could not have been happier! This is a stunning property in a beautiful location. Ema couldn't do enough to help, suggesting restaurants and bars and giving us a tour of the winery and a tasting... Oh, and the wine... You have to try the 2011 merlot!!!
