“The location is excellent, close to the city center. The parking opportunities are limited, fortunately unloading and loading is possible in the street of the location. The apartment is well equipped and sizable. However, the windows pf apartment 3 are facing an inner court with a venting system of a restaurant. It produces strong kitchen smells during most of the day. It should be discussed with the owner how to reduce the smells (with scrubs, perhaps).”

“I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks...

The room was very clean but has certainly seen better days and the bathroom was very cramped although had a good shower. “Improvements needed: Fixtures in bathroom require updating and repair Tap was wobbly and not secure to the sink and the shower on/off water temp control was broken which meant extreme hot water and lots of faffing to get it to eventually turn to cool down. Lack of staff available at bar/reception area. Positives: beds super comfy, breakfast excellent, location, value for money. Would stay here again, just hope the tap and showers fixed by then! ”
