“This hotel was beautiful, clean, and very quaint. The property was gorgeous overlooking Duoro valley with an amazing infinity pool. However, there were no food options or winery tours available when we were there? Not sure if this is normally how it is, but we always had to drive somewhere else to do anything. If you’re looking for a hotel that you can remain on the property then I don’t recommend this one, but if you’re looking for a quiet hotel and are okay with driving for tours/food then...

“Way up on the mountainside with a beautiful view of the valley and the Douro River. Valeria is a wonderful host and the place is truly something special. The beds are super comfortable, the bathrooms fantastic and she thought of every detail. ”

“I was never able to get to the hotel due to road closures caused by flooding in the area. The hotel never communicated to me via any means before hand. I made multiple attempts trying to get to the hotel through different roads and all ended up being closed at a some point. The sun went down and it was very dark. We were lucky to eventually drive out of the scary dangerous roads. A refund request was denied by the hotel. While I understand the policy, I don’t understand why the hotel never...

“This is more like a hostel than a hotel. You're expected to make your own bed and keep your own room clean. However, it does provide a reasonable budget alternative to the upmarket river front hotels. ”

“Tolles Hotel mit wunderbarer Aussicht rundherum in die Weinberge, allerdings nicht auf den Douro. Sehr ruhige Lage mit Anfahrt über schmale, zum Teil sehr steile mit Schotter bedeckte Wege. Freundliches und engagiertes Personal. Danke auch an das Housekeeping. Top Service der Bar bis zum Pool. Badetücher werden zur Verfügung gestellt. Gutes Essen im Restaurant auch noch recht kurzfristig möglich. Super Frühstück. Ich mochte auch die kleinen Infotafeln auf dem Weingut am Wegesrand.”
