"I stayed in Garden Cottage, which is next to the main house. It was very peaceful with a beautiful garden, where I enjoyed sitting in the sunshine. There's a feeling of history to the estate and I enjoyed reading about some of the previous occupants, such as the painter Joseph Farquharson. The cottage itself is tastefully decorated with period furniture but with the benefit of TV and wifi. I could have happily stayed several more days and explored the area. "Good location for an escape - Great views on the ocean at sunrise and sunset just a short walk away. Jeremy the host was very welcoming and friendly. House was rather noisy from the elements outside (wind though the old fireplace that has not been covered correctly) plus the noise from interior such as boiler. Original fireplace not usable as advertised however small electric fire was provided. Beds were not the most comfortable and bathroom needs a little love. A welcome pack of basic...
