"The staff was very friendly and accommodating but the first room I got smelled like mildew. Asked for a new room and got upgraded at no charge to one of the newer buildings. Beautiful location but even the new room was uncomfortable, minus the smell, all the furniture was dated and the room was dark. I don't think I would return but really appreciated the staff for doing their best."

When we arrived we were welcomed by the friendly staff, asking us, if we would like to sit and relax with a glass of wine. We also joined their wine tasting. "Absolutely amazing. Even the morning was cloudy and overwhelmed with fogs, the view was spectacular with view of 'Abbaye de San Galgano'. The breakfast buffet was also more than delicious. Specifically, the salamis were cut from the staffs, not those bought from manufactured products, which also tasted great. The person who helped our check-in and -out was the only person fluent in English, but you can conversate with other staffs with no problem using your body language, don't worry about this....

"Having been to Follonica numerous times and staying with relatives, this was my first experience in a hotel here. While it wasn’t luxurious, it was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The building/ grounds were lovely. I can see it being very popular for beach goers and those with family. The only thing it really lacked was coffee facilities in the room. I would recommend this to anyone who is going to the area especially those with big families. "
