"The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but the amenities of the hotel were what sold us, however the sauna and hot tub were not available, nor were options to look at any of the farm to table process that the website mentions. Room temperature is controlled by staff and our room was HOT! We had asked that it be set cooler but that did not happen so it was hard to get to sleep. With all of that said, the pool area was lovely! The breakfast was incredible and the staff are very lovely."

"Our stay at Quinta da Estrada was simply wonderful. The vineyard property is gorgeous and the room was fabulous. We had the Loft - with an amazing outdoor patio offering panoramic views of the Quinta and surrounding landscape. We had dinner in their restaurant both nights, including the wine tasting dinner. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The perfect place to stay for our first trip to the Douro Valley."

"Excellent service from all of the staff. Clean and well appointed room. Balcony with fantastic views. Excellent, quiet, peaceful, beautiful location. Nice outdoor pool, deck and loungers with great views in all directions. Very good restaurant for breakfast; fantastic evening meal. Well-stocked bar."
