Had a lovely time staying at Procyon Hostel, it was close to centre of ponta delgada which had lots of great restaurants and cafes. The hostel was super clean, the staff were extremely friendly and happy to help with any issues. Included breakfast in the morning was the ideal start to my days there, overall a great hostel stay.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The breakfast was a delight—fresh croissants and bread were truly exceptional. I’m deeply grateful to Philip, Bhuvan, and Paru for making my time so memorable and special. Bhuvan’s warm service and delicious breakfast set the tone for each day, while Philip was an outstanding host, always helpful with every little inquiry. Paru added her own thoughtful touch as well. I had a lovely stay at Procyon and would definitely stay here again! It was so clean and the breakfast was delicious and had more options than I expected. The staff I spoke to - Mafalda and Ines- were super friendly and accommodating. The common area was quiet most of the day which was perfect for working or relaxing. The location is convenient but not directly in the middle of the center which is nice.

An absolutely perfect stay. The hotel is lovely, clean, and well maintained. My room had everything I needed and the air conditioner was a bonus that worked perfectly. The staff went out of their way to help me - making sure I got breakfast before my tour, calling taxis, making recommendations etc. It’s a smidge out of the main part of town but still only a 10 minute walk or so. Would absolutely recommend.

Quaint hostel for a refreshing stay

The family run hostel was in amazing condition. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was amazing. A little disappointed, however, that the tea outside of breakfast was not free.

Great choice for Hostel in Ponta Delgada

This place was amazing, so clean, so friendly. The breakfast was excellent and included some local breads meats. This place rocks! One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed at a few ;)

Somebody waited up for us when we arrived late due to a delayed flight. We received a lot of information about things to do on the island. The hostel was extremely clean and the staff very friendly. It was easy to find a parking spot close by. The breakfast was nice as well :)

Great place to stay!

I spent 5 nights at the Procyon Hostel and everything was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful and the place is very clean. The breakfast was awesome and they even packed me a breakfast when I had an early flight after my stay. Highly recommend!

This was more like a boutique hotel than a hostel! Everything was amazing. The decor was beautiful, the staff was beyond helpful, and the accomodations were so comfortable. The location was a perfect, central location super close to the airport.

A home away from home

Not your typical hostel experience but more like a bed and breakfast experience. With 12 people in the group, we booked all 5 rooms that were available. Modern amenities and good amount of toilets and shower stalls. Place is tastefully decorated, pretty spacious overall, big living room and dining room, bar, court yard. Has also a separate kitchen for. Hosts Sara, Mafalda, and Philipe were super responsive, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Really enjoyed our stay. Street parking can be a bit challenging for those not used to parking on narrow streets.

Boutique quality for hostel stay

I stayed at a bed in the shared dorm of 6 beds at Procyon which included its own bathroom, individual light, electricity outlet and locker. Other room types also available. This was a wonderful stay. This was a hostel stay like no other. It has a boutique hotel feel with the touches of decor, the quality sheets/towels and the delicious breakfast. The guest kitchen was great to cook in. And the staff there were all welcoming and helpful with guidance on what to do on the island as outings for the day can be weather dependent. I booked my stay last minute and they were kind enough to book my airport transfer and rental car with their local partners. I highly recommend staying at this wecolmimg and charming accommodation!

Hosts could not have been more helpful, friendly & accommodating. They went beyond expected ... by waiting at PDL airport for me for 3 hours when my flight was delayed.
