"So glad we booked this place rather than a large hotel in the area that we were considering. The room was gorgeous with a big bath tub (we chose one of the big rooms). Check in was easy, staff were v friendly and accommodating despite looking after the restaurant too (special mention to Ashmi who waited on us a couple of times in the restaurant). "Absolutely fine, was welcomed by a thoroughly nice chap who checked us in etc. Room was up in the rafters but was nice, comfortable bed and a magnificent bathtub. Spent an hour in the bar and enjoyed that, drinks were reasonable price and it seemed to be quite full. Had to leave at 06:00 to catch ferry so didn’t eat breakfast. Only negative was the toilet seat was quite loose and I felt a little uneasy sitting on the pan, expecting it to slip off at any second. Absolute not a show-stopper...

"You can't beat the location of Sandbanks hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. I would not go into the swimming pool again as I found it very difficult to get in and out via the awful metal steps. As most of the guests were elderly I doubt if any of them would use the pool. The Haven pool is much safer with wide steps."
