The Boutique style, The Restaurant/Bar /lounge setting/ secure location. The pool . Depending on the night, there are different activities & music. Unfortunately the internet router was not working but by the time it would have been repaired, I was checking out; the owner personally apologized for the inconvenience.

I am writing this review because when i planned to check in, there was instability in the country and everything was shutdown and the place was closed. The facility refused to refund my money even though the place was not even open. I think it's a horrible place to do business with because they collected money for service they did not provide. I am still mad at them and in the process of suing them. Marie

The hotel was well placed. The restaurant in the evening was not bad. The breakfast was very poor, there was a list of choices but nothing was available. The bread for toast was actually frozen. It had to be split apart to put in the toaster. There was no hot water most days and on one day no water at all. Far more serious, the hotel forgot to send the shuttle to pick me up at the airport. I was forced to hire an unlicensed taxi. This was very dangerous.

We chose La Lorraine as the place to stay to end a 12 day trip travelling around Haiti. What a gorgeous little boutique hotel right in the heart of Pétion-ville. Very convenient to walk many places or quick to get a car/cab. We were self-driving and there are a couple of secure parking spots our front which was helpful. We had one of the smaller rooms which had a comfortable bed, aircon and a nice bathroom (but we never had any hot water the whole time we were there - seems to be pretty standard). There was cable tv also. Electricity goes off numerous times a day (and aircon needs to be reset each time which is a bit annoying in the night) but apart from that, there is good wifi. Our room did not have proper curtains (just lace ones) so our room wasn't the darkest for sleeping. The room looked onto the inner courtyard and was very quiet. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant over a few different days and also enjoyed some snacks and drinks by the pool (a lovely place to chill away from the noise and bustle of Pétion-ville outside). Staff was SUPER friendly (both reception and the restaurant) and helpful. Only downside was really the no hot water but I'd stay here again based on all the other positives.

Nice hotel displaying Haitian artisanship. It has a calm and uncrowded atmosphere. Wifi in the rooms (which is a big plus!). Rooms are simple and very clean. The hot water takes a bit of time to come in the shower however. The food offered in the annexed restaurant is tasty and not too expensive. The backyard is pleasant with a small pool. Overall great experience. I will definitely think of this place if I need to stay in Petionville in the future.

The hotel is at the centre or Pétiinvilles upper city. Although we had a really late check-in, the staff was helpful and friendly at all times. Besides the nice location of the hotel, is has two more great features: an outdoor swimming pool (ca.5x3m) and the bar/restaurant 36 right next to the entrance. The prices come close to European ones but the food is tasty and fresh. Plus, as we are two European women, we didn’t have to go on the streets at night to grab a bite.

A solid boutique hotel in Petionville, Haiti

I had a really great stay at La Lorraine. The staff is very attentive, and worked hard to make sure my fiance and I were take of. The gentlemen at the restaurant/bar area are excellent, and the front desk staff was efficient. The room isn't the sexiest, but it was comfortable. The only complaint I had is that the removable shower head refused to stay in place--I kept accidentally knocking it off the holder. Other than that, no complaints. As a frequent traveler to Haiti, I have to say that La Lorraine is one of the better hotel options in Petionville if you prefer a more intimate hotel.

Loved the hotel so much, I stayed an extra 3 days. Location is perfect and all the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pool area is very quaint, an excellent spot to relax even though you’re in the middle of busy Petionville.

Chic hotel

Very nice hotel in a very nice area. The room was nice with a nice shower, tv, complimentary water, comfortable bed. Some of the staff seem to not have a personality but others were ok. Wifi worked well. Food was better than average.
