You definitely get what you pay for. It is basic budget accommodation at a budget price but as we were only spending the night and out during the day it was adequate. Staff are always busy but friendly and accommodating. The shower pressure is a problem as it is very low but do still work. Sheets were clean and towels are changed daily. There is a communal kitchen for tea, coffee and breakfast cereal for guests to use.

Good place if in a budget. However twin room we stayed in - carpet was filthy, beds uncomfortable toilet door didn’t lock (there was only 1) no soap to wash hands with in the toilet, showers needed a good scrub.

Friendly staff, happy to accommodate. Room had AC so was very comfortable - hot water did take a while to come through in shower but there were signs that stated this so we were aware! Would happily stay again

Rooms were average and old but good value for money. The staff were incredibly patient, courteous and helpful in solving problems and on that basis I would stay here again. We spent four nights at this hotel. There was an issue with the shower in our room not working properly and one of the beds was broken. The staff moved us to a better room immediately. The rooms were old like the hotel and could have been cleaned better but the sheets and bathroom were clean which was important. Weeknights were a bit noisy as we staying during harvesting season so the trucks were in and out of Viterra all day and night. Weekends however, were quiet. Overall enjoyed the stay for the price we paid and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Generally it is good for us, cheap and convenient locations plus breakfast. The hotel has a gaming room which is under our room, a bit noisy on Friday night only, other days are pretty quiet. Happy to stay and thank you .

Negatives: Some really bad smells, especially at particular times of the day. The guest kitchen and bathrooms were not clean. No lift. Dirty carpet in kitchen and could use a really good clean. Bright light outside window at night. Positives: Comfortable beds and pillows. Enjoyed the character of the old building. Staff were very helpful, especially in the dining room. Very inexpensive. Walking distance to cafes, restaurants and jetty with its beautiful pool.

The hotel is old and dated with services that need a significant upgrade. It was however comfortable if the guest does not have high expectations nor want a luxurious environment.

Compact, comfortable and clean

The Hotel Boston offers very affordable budget accommodation options that are perfectly adequate for travellers who don’t need pampering! The rooms are compact, comfortable and clean. The bonus is the quality food at excellent value for money prices in the hotel’s dining room. I stayed on two occasions in different rooms with en-suite bathroom and both were just fine. Some patience is required for hot water in the shower, but it’s no deal-breaker!

Quaint, Quiet and Convenient

The hotel is very quaint and the sort of thing you look for in a small, affordable vacation spot. It has a great view of the water from the balcony and an attached restaurant and bar with slot machines (pokies) and is right off the main strip from the airport about a 15 minute drive.
