"This property is absolutely breathtaking! The hotel is absolutely perfect and the property has many places to explore (including geese and cows). Breakfast was excellent with many options. All in all, this was a perfect stay for my husband and me."

"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "

"the room 3 although a lovely clean room the window is starting to fall out see photos
The Quality of food on such a very Busy evening was fantastic see photos
The bar/Restaurant staff Amazing under the 2 big parties and a very busy Restaurant We would like to say a very big thanks to Jo she was outstanding in every way
We did have a problem with Reception the lady that checked us in was very condescending and told fibs
When we got to the bar we where told the 7.30 reservation was changed to 6.45 I disputed this and was told Reception had informed me of this wich I disputed
I went to ask the lady on reception and she informed me she had told me on the phone the night before I asked her did she speak to me and she said "Yes "
I informed her my wife had made the Restaurant booking not me
This morning when we checked out I told her about the window and also about the conversation last night this time she changed it to she told me that I was told when I Booked in
She didn't.
Loved the Hotel and staff
Even the room was lovely"
"All the staff were so friendly. The bar staff especially Phil were excellent. We were there for an 80th birthday. My wife lost a bracelet we asked at reception in the morning and the lovely lady on reception said she would look inn the safe... unfortunately nothing. We went to look in the room where the party was held but it had already been cleaned. A lovely young lady named Erin asked could she help, we explained what had happened and she said that a bracelet had been found and had been put into one of the bottle bags that Alan had received for his birthday. We told the lady on reception this, she then phoned Alan for us and he said he was aware of the bracelet and would return it next time we meet. Absolutely brilliant place."
"We arrived quite late, around 9:30pm, but check-in was quick and easy. Every member of staff we encountered was incredibly polite and welcoming, and the hotel itself was absolutely spotless.
The spa was still open for another half an hour when we arrived, so we made the most of that, which was lovely!
My only real disappointment was the spa access restrictions, which weren’t made particularly clear when booking through Expedia. Hotel guests can only use the spa facilities between 7am–10am and 5pm–10pm. Outside these hours, access is reserved for guests who have booked and paid for additional spa experiences.
The outdoor heated pool is also only available to hotel guests between 5pm and 6pm, just one hour a day! Unfortunately, with our late arrival and 11am checkout, we didn’t get the opportunity to enjoy this facility, which was a shame.
The food looked lovely, although we decided against breakfast as it was £20 per person, which I personally feel is rather expensive.
Aside from these minor disappointments, I genuinely couldn’t fault the hotel. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return! Next time, knowing how the spa operates, I’d probably book a spa experience and treatment in advance to make the most of the facilities.
Overall, a beautiful, spotless hotel with wonderful staff. Just wish the spa restrictions had been clearer at the time of booking!"
"The restaurant was excellent with a great menu taste
