I would to start off on a positive, the valet tenants were great. They were all very welcoming and we enjoyed talking with them. The rest of our stay here left a lot to be desired, we will not be staying at another Embassy. We do a lot of traveling and stay at a lot of different places and we were not impressed at all. From the hidden fees to the underwhelming breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel. The valet staff were the only reason it was not a total 1 star.

In general, my wife & I were satisfied. Everything was clean, though maybe a little run down by some standards. Our room had a view of a neighboring roof, but we were out on the town for most of the waking hours, so that was not a problem for us. The continental breakfast was good, though the room was a little odd. My wife enjoyed the salt water pool & hot tub while I enjoyed coffee in the room. Overall, a high 3 or low 4 by our modest standards.

The room was nice and clean, our room didn’t have any towels so we had to call to get some. At check-in staff tried telling me we booked a basic room and that we could upgrade to a suite for $20. The Embassy Suites was a perfect place to stay for a trip to Portland! Places we wanted to go to were in walking distance. The room was clean and very spacious. The social hour in the evening was an added bonus and the breakfast was amazing, so many good and healthy choices. Everyone who helped us was friendly. We would definitely stay here again!
