Great location, large comfortable room, excellent breakfast and friendly service. Glad we were on the 1st floor as there is no lift for people (only bags) and our knees creak.

Lovely guest house in Porto.

This guest house was lovely. Location was great for walking to sites within old town. The breakfasts were delicious and hearty. Service with a smile. Very clean and comfortable.

A great hotel in the perfect place

This was in a perfect location and the breakfast and service could not be better. They took very good care of us and showed us many sights we should look at. Even though we were downtown there was almost no noise. Many thanks and would definitely come back again!!

This is a beautiful guesthouse with very kind and hospitable hosts. The daily breakfast was amazing with a wide variety including scrambled eggs on request. It was very close to the Sao Bento train station. We were so happy with our stay!

The property was fabulous! We loved our stay and the breakfast was delicious with the homemade jams, desserts, cheeses, fresh juice, the yogourt, etc. The attention to detail was impeccable. Check-in was easy and delightful with Anna too. The only suggestion and very minor…..is to include a wine opener/ corkscrew in the room and availability for guests to fill their water bottles at a water station in the main area. Thank-you Belemont52, we will sing your praises to our friends that are travelling to Porto for a vacation. If you are questioning whether to stay here….don’t…..close to everything….bars, restaurants, historic sites and attractions.
We enjoyed sitting in the main area with our wine/drinks before heading out for our evening meal.

Well located.

Small guest house conveniently located in historic centre. No stairs but luggage lift. Filling breakfast of scrambled eggs, fruits, cheese ham and cakes. Friendly staff.

Amazing and Historic

AMAZING stay. Anna the receptionist welcomed me so warmly, (I was traveling alone), and gave me the BEST recommendations. The space itself is so beautiful and apparently used to be a church. My room was great and the bathroom/shower was immaculate! Loved my stay here and it was walking distance to everything I needed. Would recommend to everyone!

Building on the same street is under construction. Construction goes into the evening. Not able to open the windows since the noise is ongoing. Belomont52 Is modern, with a comfortable bed and welcoming and helpful staff.

Alfonso couldn't have been more helpful upon our arrival. There are only 6 rooms, so it was very quiet. We had room 6 on the 4th floor. No elevator for us, but they did have a luggage elevator for which we were very grateful! Fantastic room with views over looking the Douro River and Gaia. Only problem was there was no parking available as stated on Expedia and street parking around the hotel has a 2 hour maximum. We parked on the street overnight and then moved to a garage in the morning near our tour departure. Worked out well. They also went out of their way for us and had a delicious breakfast ready early so we wouldn't be late for our tour. Would gladly recommend!

Jack hammers outside the property heavy construction right outside not 10 feet away. Please do not go here till the construction is done. I left and got another place. Never stayed due to the extreme construction.

The owners are helpful and nice. Not sure why the A/C didn’t work every night after certain hour, about 10pm on, it said central which we couldn’t feel any cool air to ventilate the room. Other clients saiy the same thing. 3 hot days, over 35, the owners need to to explain this. Also,the cleaner/ kitchen hand, same lady came to rearrange our clothings which we hang outside after 1st night. We had told the owner’s nephew, please do not touch our things. 2& 3rd breakfast didn’t go very well, she turned her head when we said good morning to her. She said that she doesn’t speak English but a smile says a thousand words. She was rude with a long face, that made us felt unpleasant in the room. Overall, stairs to 2nd floor becoming quite a task for us after a tired day walking. Overall, the location is great, room is clean, breakfast with smile will be great.

Very warm reception from everyone at Belomont52 - you immediately feel like one of the family. Very clean and well maintained “boutique” hotel - in the centre of town. They serve a delicious breakfast to start your day. Highly recommend.
