Overall, a lovely hotel! We arrived late on the day of Sao Joao and the staff were happy to explain what the festival entailed. They even left a hammer on our room bed with a detailed explanation of the dayโs events, so we could take part in the festivities! It was such a special touch and greatly appreciated.
We also had issues with our air conditioning, m late into the evening. The concierge was exceptionally helpful and patient, and was able to fix our air conditioning remotely and quickly.
My only gripe was the location of the hotel. Itโs great if you want some quiet when sleeping, but a little too far removed from the centre for my liking. The Ribeira was a twenty minute walk away, and since the majority of attractions and restaurants are located there, we did wish our hotel was a little bit closer! But, there are Metro links about ten minutes away that come in handy.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel and their staff thoroughly. Itโs perfect if you like quiet evenings, too!
