Generally speaking, the staff helped as much as they could with what they had to work with. Communication ( language ) difficulties aside, the offerings, despite the relative cleanliness, are sorely lacking. Not having a simple desk to rest one's laptop or cellphone on a charger is a game changer. Having one chair for two people is another.

The hotel is reception free. You get a code online and use it for main entrance and room entrance once you complete the check-in online. Location is great, very close to the main shopping street. AC was working fine and there is a tv in the room too.. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. Bed mattress very comfy. Clean bathroom. The room hasn't had a fridge.

The pros: yes the AC worked and location great The cons: it does not have everything I want in a hotel room such as a safe, decent size towels, more space, something to sit suitcase on, sound proofed walls, ice machine etc. There is no fridge or microwave. The room feels like a male dorm room. They have a small selection of drinks in vending machines, but not what we wanted. We went and bought some but grocery store out of ice and no fridge or ice here so had to drink warm.

The location is very good. There's lots of access to food, cafes, restaurants and bars. The property is basic bit very clean and well maintained. Only issue I had was one of the windows not closing. Road noise can intrusive. But once fixed, it was very quiet.

Very hot rooms, windows locked and weak aircon

My stay was overall good and I don’t have any complaints, except at arrival, I was never sent a link to check in and could not enter the building. Also when I got to my room, there was no way of opening the windows, the sun had been hitting the window all day and I am not exaggerating when I say it was 30+ degrees inside, and a very weak aircondition, which started to make me feel physically bad. After 15 minutes I was standing out in the hallway in just underwear on the phone with support, who gave me a new room, which was still incredibly hot when I entered, but I was able to open the window thanks to someone screwing the lock that had been installed off. Thanks to your amazing customer support my issues were resolved quickly, but I would recommend bringing a screwdriver if you don’t want to be cooked alive

The place is owned by limehome - a Germany-based company that runs reception desk-free hotels. What it means is that they put the burden of going through the registration process - complete with taking selfies and scanning one's passport - squarely on you. Their system is somewhat confusing and requires significantly more than the "5 minutes" their emails advertise. Perhaps this is how they keep the rates on the cheaper side, sort of like how some grocery stores turn you into an employee at the self-service checkout. The hotel itself is in a great location. The room was very bare-bones - three single beds, two end tables, a TV, and not even a desk. It is ok for a one-night stay, but for long-term stay, there are basically no amenities in the room (no fridge, no desk, only one chair for a room where presumably three people are staying). If it is the cheapest available accommodations in Porto, and your stay is short, and if you are ok with the "fill out a bunch of web forms, scan your passports and take selfies, then wait to receive an access code" setup - go for it. One last note: the code you get to enter the room and the building are the same and they are only four-digit codes. I feel like longer codes would be safer.

Staff is awesome! Very responsive and accommodating. Very streamlined check-in process. central locating - very walkable, close to transportation, attractions, restaurants, shops. Simple room but comfortable. Clean room and property. And affordable! Great for solo backpackers like me! Thank you! :)

Very bad experience with the hotel. The location was good, the AC was functioning but the rest was bad. The customer support were very unhelpful to fix the lamp in the corridor. Every time we had to use the flash light on our phone to walk on the corridor and the staff weren't able to help to fix it. There was bad design with shower with water flying every where due to low maintenance. There were only one switch for charging phone which was very unpractical.

Easy to get to. Access was easy via code. Wasnt aware there wouldnt be a manned reception when booking. Superficially clean room but not if inspected ie around back of toilet/top shelves. No internal door lock or chain. Not all the lights worked including the main bedroom light. Bathroom fan went continuously and had no off switch. They also removed my bin after my second night for some reason (it was empty). Also, windows must be single glaze.

Overall: I liked it. It was perfect for what I needed. Generally clean and had everything I needed. I would stay again. - Bathroom - logically laid out (big points for this) and generally clean. Didn’t have to twist around to find the tp dispenser. Shower was just a shower (nice because I usually don’t use a tub on destination travel anyway). - Amenities - There was an in room hair dryer locked to the room wall (not bathroom, so ideal when traveling with multiple people). There was a water vending machine in the lobby. Couldn’t get it to work but the prices were reasonable compared to outside. Elevator was pretty quick to call and ride. Some hall lights flickered. The room was fairly spacious and the bed was surprisingly not a twin or 2 twin beds in a trench coat. Outlet access worked for me. There was a plug behind the night stand and one by the hair dryer in my room. - Closet - There was none, there was a wide coat rack which was what I needed for my wet clothes to dry after a rain storm. Was also cleaner and easier to check if I had forgotten anything when checking out than a regular closet. - Other - the room was not the most sound proof. Not really a problem for me on this trip. The check in process was all online. Filled in forms right after booking and didn’t worry again until check in day. The codes were released to me at check in time via the website which had a countdown until they were available Location - convenient for tours and walking/shopping

Great location ~5 min walk to our tour bus and the return home trip dropped us at the door. Short walk to the water front. Weekday breakfast places 100 to 250 meters away. Lots of great places for dinner for real Portugees food. Try Casa das tortas 5 min away. ( so good we went twice ) Room was clean and comfortable beds. In room temp control. Missing was a place to put your bags so we used the floor. A desk or table would have been good. No power outlet in bathroom and a very basic shower. No staff and self checkin via the app. Received our door code at 2 pm for our early checkin request. Coffee and kettle in lobby. No problem staying here again.
