Great value Porto hotel

Traditional two star hotel within walking distance of central Porto. We ere able to get a space in the underground carpark which was an added plus. Staff were excellent and very friendly. rooms a bit dated, but it sort of adds to the charm. Simple breakfast offered, but exceptional value

Great, friendly staff. Conveniently located. Large patio\balcony off the room. The room was next to the back of the elevator and you could hear it going up and down. The shower head kept droopping down. Nice hot water. I would recommend hotel

Absolutely amazing! I recommend it 200%! Lovely staff, clean room, and great location. Everyone was so kind — my charger didn’t work at the hotel and a very nice employee even lent me her own. They also gave me great advice to discover delicious local food that wasn’t too expensive. Thank you so much for this experience! I’m sure that if I come back to Porto, I’ll definitely stay at this hotel again. Obrigado, see you soon!

It’s a family owned hotel & their attention to detail & providing good service to their guests is evident. Unlike many of the newer, more modern hotels, the rooms are spacious & very comfortable. The biggest appeal to me is that the hotel isn’t located in the heart of the tourist area.

Great Place to stay!

I was in Porto by myself, very good hotel for the price and service. They were so kind to help with parking my rental car in the garage since it could be tricky for some people. I also forgot my toothbrush and they were so nice to help me out with that too. Close to city centre and subway!

The people were very friendly and helpful and spoke English as well as me, a Canadian. Metro is a few minutes walk away, but you can easily walk to Centro in about 15-20 minutes.

Property is located fairly conveniently within walking distance to a metro station. Room was clean but old and poorly sound proofed (lots of noise from cars outside and neighbors). Staff was friendly, and the included breakfast was decent. For the relatively low price compared to other hotels near the center of Porto, I would recommend it.

What a lovely hotel. If you are a Hilton lover this hotel is not for you but when you like a clean hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff on a convenient location from the city center for a bargain price, this is your hotel. A very special thanks to Annabel. What a lovely friendly lady. She made our stay extra special. Metro stop Marques is a 5 to 8 min walk from the hotel but best of all the hotel has tons of nice very affordable restaurants and confeitaria in the neighbourhoud. Do not miss out on Confeitaria O Pastel and if you are into Vegan food Casanova has great options. All within 5 minutes walk of the hotel.

Comfortable Stay

We stayed 3 nights at the Palanca. The Palanca is a small hotel in a residential area about 30 minutes walk from the centre of Porto. The room was comfortable and the breakfast great value at 2 euros 50. There is a Metro station five minutes away. At the airport we bought a 72-hour Metro and Bus pass, which proved to be a bargain at 16 euros. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, although, annoyingly, the receptionist, when we paid our bill by card, insisted we pay in £s rather than euros. This meant our stay cost us £6 more than if we'd paid in euros.
