The Hotel Vinnci Bonjardim is a solid hotel - near the train station and generally close to most sights in Porto. The street itself has shops where many have been graffitied. It did not give us a very good sense of safety to come back late at night. The staff are very pleasant, quick and helpful. We had brought our car - they parked it for us and retrieved it when we left. Food wise, the breakfast was well done (we had purchased it with our room) and plentiful. There is a roof-top restaurant that is near the lounge area and pool - the food there is good but if you are looking for something fancier, go somewhere else. The rooftop pool is not very big, however, we did view some guest who seemed to enjoy it. We did go to the rooftop lounge most afternoons/evenings given the view and it was a nice place to wind down after a long day.

The hotel is in a convenient location about 15 to 20 min walk to city center. The staff are very nice and helpful. Rooms look freshly painted/ updated. We had the room with buffet breakfast included and they even packed our breakfast for us the last day since we had to go to the airport early morning. We really appreciated that.

Very comfortable and clean rooms. All the staff were friendly and helpful with a lot of nice touches for guests. Breakfast was fabulous. There was music Saturday evening at the terrace restaurant-bar with nice view of Porto. Location is convenient for walking down to sights in Porto and coming back by public transportation.

We booked two rooms. The staff could easily have been from a five-star hotel ā€” very courteous and helpful throughout our stay. What brings the rating down, however, is that we ran into a few technical issues during our visit. On two occasions, we lost electricity in both rooms, not at the same time. In one of the rooms, this happened the day before we were due to check out, and we had to move to another room ā€” a big thank you to the staff for arranging that so smoothly. In addition, the air conditioning malfunctioned twice, and at the worst possible time ā€” during the night, when we needed it most.

Overall, I was satisfied with the hotel, and the breakfast was excellent in particular. The staff were also very friendly, and the location near the subway station makes it very accessible. The room wasn't very soundproof, so it was a bit noisy at night.
