A truly one of a kind experience! The hotel is beautiful and the staff were amazing! Very friendly and very helpful! They held our luggage free of charge so we could go enjoy the caves and the castle experiences. A great place to stay!

Good place to stay

Very nice hotel. All of the staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke English. The breakfast was very good, and parking was easy. I used this as a home base to take several day trips.

Awesome hotel and great location!

Amazing hotel. 200m walk to the caves. 20min drive to the castle. Amazing service. Front desk staff was awesome. 10/10 would stay again!

Excellent location, of course, and the hotel was renovated in 2016. The air conditioning couldn’t quite keep up with the summer heatwave of early Jul 2025. Breakfast buffet and amenities were basic at best. Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, we had a room on the top most floor facing the front - amazing view the hills and sunset and reasonably dark skies for star gazing.

The staff and location of Hotel Jama were excellent. Very convenient to the cave and castle shuttle. We highly recommend to stay there even for a night especially the cave entrance is timed. The breakfast was pretty good too. If you’re a history buff, try the secret room in the hotel.

Great place, fantastic rooms, very friendly staff. There were a couple of glitches with the front desk which could have been avoided. On departure it wasn’t possible to drive up with the car and we had to bring our luggage without any help to the parking lot. Not too far, but not pleasant to do in the rain.

A 4star hotel that had no restaurant for evening meals yet is located in an isolated area is unacceptable. For 32€ you could have a poor cold buffet with little choice. Staff very helpful and listed restaurants in the town. Very convenient location to the cave. Room cleanliness not high but thats common in big hotels.

This hotel shares its property with Postojna Cave which makes it very convenient for spending a day at the cave and its other attractions like the vivarium. The hotel is classy, has clean rooms, and has its own attraction: a tour through secret rooms in the hotel used by spies. This hotel is also only a 30-minute drive from the Skocjan caves.

Overpriced for what you get. Rooms are super small washroom is not private buffet is mediocre and overpriced for what you’re getting. I recommend eating at one of the restaurants close to the castle will be 1/3 of the cost and 100% more enjoyable. Staff wasn’t my friendly. A dirty tablecloth was in change for two days and the area where breakfast was served, possibly even longer. Not worth $900+

Lovely hotel at the Postojna Caves

Beautiful hotel, clean and pleasant room; fairly small room. Friendly front desk staff. All guests required to register with passport at front desk. Excellent breakfast buffet. Stayed here with kids, visited the amazing caves just steps away from the hotel. Room did not have a mini fridge. Would definitely stay here again.

A stunningly gorgeous hotel! Whoever did the design deserves an award. It was clearly designed to be utilitarian, as there was a spot for everything, not just random rooms thrown into a building and then letting guests figure out where to put their belongings. The balcony was spacious, the bathrooms were nearly perfect, although I would have liked a bit more water pressure in the shower, the bed was comfortable with pillows that were not too flat, not too firm. I would without question stay at Hotel Jama again if I am in the region!
