"The room - great for a small room - was well-proportioned. One of the two overhead beside lamps sadly didn't work but weirder - the duvet cover didn't close, like there were no buttons - so it kept getting caught up and I took it off, thinking it was a sheet, only to have to put it back on. "We enjoyed our one night at the Imperial while traveling through Cork! Although the hotel itself is older, it's maintained well and the room itself was gorgeous. We liked how close it was to tons of dining and shopping options -- so once we parked the car, we just walked everywhere. Went to a sushi place for dinner and walked to the English Market in the morning for breakfast before heading off to Blarney Castle (only 25 mins away)."

Gorgeous Hotel - but plug sockets are a challenge!
"This is a really lovely hotel and the staff were, without exception absolutely wonderful - very friendly and engaged. There were two things I'd suggest giving attention to: 1. There is a very very overpowering product used on the first floor (smells like a very strong aftershave!. Please find a gentler scent, if one is needed. 2. The location of plugs above desks in rooms is problematic as they are placed too close to the desk to allow for real life plugs to fit! As a result neither my laptop plug nor my hair curler would fit. The plugs under the bedside tables are so low that one has to kneel to reach them, an issue for anyone elderly/with arthritic knees. A universal design approach would have helped here.... "
