โA unique experience. Staying in a treehouse was very high on the novelty scale. Expect a slight slope in the floor, and don't forget to close the windows before you go to bed as the monkeys are sneaky and will steal any fruit that you leave on the dining table. A fun night.
If you are averse to a staircase, this might not suit, you though.โ

The room was clean and spacious with a balcony so you wake up to a view of the mountails The host Priyanatha is so warm, welcoming and always available to help. Breakfast was lovely (especially the hoppers). A short walk (or tuk tuk) into town. Loved my stay here! Thank you!โ

โAn amazing experience, sleeping in the canopy of the forest. We saw lots of animals and fireflies at night. Accommodation is basic as you would expect but beds and bathroom were clean. Ella is a 5-10 minute walk away via the railway tracks. Route was easy to find as directed by our host. Breakfast was delicious and filling.โ
โThis year, I have slept on multiple beds in multiple countries. Colombia, Guatemala, Belize, Mexico, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Jordan, Sri Lanka, and Ella Green Cottages had the best mattress I've had all year. My first night at Ella Green Cottages was literally the best night of sleep that I had in months.
Also, whenever I needed anything, the employees immediately stopped doing whatever they were doing and saw to my needs. Best customer service I experienced in the country. โ
โThis place is magical! Truly a stay in the jungle. Thereโs no road to the cabin so the last part you have to walk on the railway. However the staff were really helpful and carried our suitcases the whole way - so do recommend to pack lightly. The place was amazing and the staff were so kind and helpful. Highly recommend! โ
โDejligt sted hos Ayubo og vรฆrterne var excellent. Dejlig middag og morgenmad. Ligger lidt afsides dog ikke et problem. God udsigt og dejlige vรฆrelser med balkon. โ
โGreat location, right next to the Main Street where all the restaurants and shops.
The hotel itself is more of a guest house. Rooms are very basic - but very large. Can easily accommodate 4 people.
Breakfast is either sri-lanken or western, they are very generous with the quantities.
If you are looking for a 4/5 star hotel - itโs not the place for you.
It is a low budget option for families who prefer that kind of experience.

The owner treats his guests like his own family members, me and my mom - we felt taken care of, we felt safe and protected, we got lots and lots of good and helpful information and had a WONDERFUL, wonderful experience with the owner and his wife, who's home-baked cake I will always remember with saliva in my mouth.
