"My first time staying in a hostel and it was amazing close to everything. Do not worry if you think you’re far from the beach or where the animals and the seals are you are one minute walk from everything the place is immaculately clean cleaned our room every day no matter what time we left the breakfast is the best awesome awesome awesome five stars all around."

"The Hostal Terito was terrific! The room was clean and comfortable. The garden outside was lovely and welcoming. The owners were really nice people. I especially appreciated Daniel's willingness to give his expert advice about things to do in the town and nearby areas."

"In-person, everything was amazing! There was this little old lady who didn't speak a lick of English, but I we got by with my basic spanish and she was so so sweet. She was accommodating and she was complimentary and she gave us advice on how to be safe in Guayaquil. The hotel and breakfast were great.
The only negative was that before our trip, Zayapa reached out and they tried to get me to pay on a sketchy app beforehand (we ended up just paying in cash in person) but it was stressful...

"The room was beautiful with a perfect view. The hotel and the entire staff are magnificent, helpful, and and very friendly. We were absolutely happy with the hotel. However, the restaurant was OK, but not really great food."

"The accommodations were worth the price, and the hotel service was good. But pass on the restaurant in the evening. It is not where you want to be waiting for food after trekking all day. The staff is nice, is very nice, but insufficient, and I waited 90 minutes for my simple meal on the terrace. Also, there is major construction next door with heavy equipment on the adjacent wall — not relaxing. I suspect this work will be done by summer, 2026. "

"The rooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was great with an attentive and flexible staff who adjusted breakfast times for an early excursion which they helped us book (a 360 island tour which was also excellent and reasonably priced compared to similar options). They were also very flexible with early check-in and departure. All around a great value for our short stay in San Cristobal."

"Super cool artistic hotel. Reminds me of Barcelona.
Short walk to the pier but far enough that it’s very quiet at night.
Comfy bed, good AC!
Great staff!
Best market in town across the street.
Would stay again. "

"The staff was great, transport to and from the airport/dock was great. They did our laundry for a small fee. Breakfast was excellent. This place grows on you the longer you stay. There is no TV but that was ok."

"Fantastic stay at Mainao Hotel!
The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating—always greeting us with a smile. We booked 9 rooms, and every single one was clean, spacious, and very well equipped for short or longer stays, with plenty of drawers and storage to truly settle in.
They were exceptionally thoughtful, even asking our schedules so they could plan maintenance around our time out exploring. The location is perfect—easy walk to the pier, shops, dive centers, and excursions. Hot showers with great water pressure and plenty of fresh water available to refill bottles were big pluses.
Highly recommend Mainao Hotel for comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality in the Galápagos."
"Eduarado was absolutely amazing! As was the rest of the team! Breakfast was delicious, everyone was so kind and welcoming. I unfortunately got sick on our vacation and the team made me tea to help me feel better and would ask my husband how I was doing. They were so caring and lovely! "
"This hotel was exceptional!! Great personnel, excellent receptionist who recommended really nice tours and drivers. Great servers at the restaurant in the evening, we enjoyed it. The pool area is very serene and beautiful, overlooking a beach with baby sea lions 🦭❤️"
