"The apartment was very clean upon arrival, checkin was easy, (keys in a lock box). Lots to see and do everything within walking distance. The beach 5 min walk and a large grocery also 5 min away. If you have mobilty issues this place has 34 steps to walk up to get in. There was no housekeeping and no broom to sweep up all the fallen palapa grass from the roof of the apt which seems to fall daily."

"Pleasantly surprised. This looks like a small motel, but is an apartment complex that rents out a few units. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedroom a separate from the kitchen dining room. Just a few blocks from the beach… and a great beach club. For a low budget trip, this place was just great. The staff did not speak any english but google translate helped to facilitate good communication. "

Excellence Riviera Cancun - Adults Only All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"I cannot say enough good things about our stay. My wife has SEVERE latex and banana allergies as well as others we haven’t pinpointed yet and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR HER. She was able to request what she wanted from The Kitchen Table for breakfast and they would personally make it each morning to avoid all contamination. We also let them know where we would have lunch and dinner and the chefs would come out and reassure us that everything was made separate for her to avoid any contamination. Everyone checked on us everywhere we went and it was soooo important to us that they took it so seriously. Of course she couldn’t help but end up having allergic reaction right as we were waiting to leave. We aren’t sure to what as it was completely random. The doctor was able to give her medicine and an injection and monitor her. Because of this we missed our transportation but the hotel provided us a taxi and we made it to our flight! We cannot say enough good things about the hotel and the staff. And to add to it, the food was 1000/10. It was SOOOO good everywhere we ate. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much to Fernando and Chef Benjamin and the manager of the Kitchen Table. You made this trip absolutely perfect."

"We booked Hideaway at Royalton Riviera Cancun for our honeymoon believing it was a true adults-only luxury resort, but it turned into one of the most disappointing travel experiences we’ve ever had. This is NOT a real adults-only resort. It is a family resort with only a small adults-only section, while the restaurants, pools, beaches, and amenities are shared with families and children. This was extremely misleading and not clearly explained when booking through Expedia. Before Cancun, we stayed at two resorts in Tulum and had an amazing experience, so arriving here was shocking. The rooms had an old musty smell, the food was terrible, and the resort looked nothing like the photos online. What made it even worse was how both the hotel management and Expedia handled the situation. We explained multiple times that we booked this resort specifically because it was advertised as adults-only, but nobody took responsibility or made any effort to resolve the issue. The hotel blamed Expedia, Expedia blamed the hotel, and we spent hours stressed and frustrated instead of enjoying our honeymoon. We even asked to be transferred to one of their actual adults-only resorts, but they refused to help. The experience became so unbearable that we left after only one night and booked another resort ourselves, spending an extra $3,000 out of pocket. We booked 4 nights and received absolutely no refund or compensation. Total waste of money and completely ruined our honeymoon."

"We had preferred club Ocean front. The room was fantastic. The food was AMAZING! Everyone worked was Fabulous!! We played volleyball, took water aerobics, a ceviche and Tequila class. Luis was THE BEST!!"

"The resort was mostly quiet and not overly crowded while I was there, which I appreciated. However, they were very pushy about the Hyatt Unlimited Club even after being told no multiple times. It basically felt like being pressured into a prepaid timeshare presentation when most people are just trying to enjoy their vacation — especially while traveling with a toddler and in this economy. I also felt like some amenities weren’t properly explained or met, such as the free bag and room service timing. Another downside was how badly people hoarded pool chairs. It was hard to find somewhere to sit or even place our belongings, even when many chairs clearly weren’t being actively used. There were also a few moments where other guests became overly loud in areas that were otherwise calm and relaxing. Overall, the resort was decent, but there were a few things that took away from the experience."

Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"I want to preface this by saying the only reason I stayed at this resort was for a wedding. This was my 10th trip to Cancun, & by far the worst resort experience I’ve had. The breakfast buffet & poolside food lacked variety & quality. Brick oven pizza was great. Some specialty restaurants were decent, especially the Asian & Italian spots, but room service was terrible. I ordered nachos without cheese or sour cream due to allergies, plus a hot dog. After waiting nearly an hour, I received chips covered in cheese and sour cream & a hot dog on a stale bun. The replacement order never arrived. The bars constantly ran out of items — beer, vodka, even straws for frozen drinks. The liquor selection was also disappointing, with little beyond Tito’s & Captain Morgan. Cleanliness was another issue. Food was often left sitting around the resort, floors were dirty, & the pool had visible buildup in the corners. In our room, decorative pillows had stains, the shower drain was left open, & the toilet barely flushed. Our “ocean front” room was next to the party pool, where music was so loud it sounded like the patio door was open at all hours. All the day activities revolved around shaking your ass. The beach photos are misleading since there is barely any actual beach. The seawalls were covered in overgrowth, seaweed and bird droppings and smelled awful. The only positive part of the trip was the wedding itself, mainly because it was hosted at Secrets, the sister resort."
