"Lots of poolside seating. multiple pools means that people are spread out and avoid crowding. endless drinks are great but would be great to have poolside snacks. "

"This is a nice sized resort - not too big and enough variety. Food was decent. But the main great thing about this place are the staff! Jesus and Jose @ the privilege bar are amazing! Carlos our butler is kind and efficient. Our cleaning staff (whom I never saw, but room was always perfect) made our stay very comfortable. Best sleep in a long time! Let's not talk about sargassum...the pools are lovely! One thing about the upgrade people - please play more lively music. As one patron said, "We're older; we're not dead!""

"Preferred check in was fast and easy. Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were nice. Food was good. Beach had quite a bit of seaweed but sounds like that was the case at most resorts. You have to get up early to get pool lounge chairs. Only other complaint was at El Patio our first night our main course never arrived. Luckily we ate so many appetizers it was okay but would have liked to have tried our main course meals. Overall a good trip."

"Ideal hotel for families. The best and most outstanding feature is the food, with a large number of restaurants and a high standard. The evening entertainment is also excellent. Most guests are from the USA and Canada (which made it difficult for our son, who only speaks Spanish, to play with other children). Areas for improvement: cleaning the sargassum seaweed on the beach and having a pool with warm water."

"Beautiful resort with friendly staff and lots to do. However, the restaurants are all disorganized: long waits and constantly out of staple like cups, spoons, milk, despite being at 30-40% of capacity. Also, they are unfortunately affected by the sargassum algae blooms, and the gulf water was inaccessible through 20-30 feet of thick rotting smelly seaweed. The drinks were good and the activities staff is especially energetic and fun for the whole family! Gracias a Jerry y Sammy!"

"Was offered and enjoyed an upgrade to a beachfront 1 bedroom deluxe suite on the ground floor with an outdoor jacuzzi tub and more or less next to the pool, bar and beach volleyball for a small extra price at check in! It was fantastic. I was a little unsure of the all inclusive price when considering booking but the incredible benefits and options were well worth the price. 10 restaurants, many pools, bars, gym, kids and adult activities, nightly shows etc. etc. and never paid an extra penny for anything after check in. If you are a big drinker the endless open bars alone make it a deal. Also incredible food options, I mean really awesome fine dining options! Also loved the breakfast options and endless fruit, expresso and mimosas in the morning :)!!!!!! The facility is super family friendly but there are some adult only options as a part of the 3 properties. The staff was super friendly from start to finish and we felt like family by the time we left. Seriously, we were lucky enough to enjoy many of the same staff members services during our stay and by the end they knew us by name and what we liked. Please be kind in return, they deserve it!! I did take a couple of envelopes stuffed with $1 bills and spread them around liberally as my only out of pocket expense there and it made a lot of smiles and I am sure it was sincerely appreciated. We truly enjoyed everything about the El Cid experience and would not hesitate to recommend to others and would definitely go back."

"We stayed at Ha and it was much more chill and relaxing. Wasn’t an inconvenience at all to get to other properties. Room had a funny musty/moldy smell Food was excellent. Beach none existent, we went to a beach club 8 mins away. "
