"Beach side hostal where the main attraction is the fabulous beach. Rooms are clean but relatively small, although the balconies are large, and serve as additional living space. It is ideal for a weekend away or an overnight stop, in the long Soanish summer April to October. Good food and drink available in the restaurant and a full buffet breakfast with good use of local produce."

"Had a great stay here. 2 mins to the beach, 10 mins to bus station or old town and 5 min to a large supermarket. The room was large and comfortable, pool big and generally quiet. Cold but fine once swimming. Room is only cleaned once in 3 days which is fine but woukd be better if they provided a larger bin than a miniscule one in the bathroom. Reception has fresh towels/loo rolls if needed. The ladies on reception were friendly, you can leave bags in a locked room before/after check in and one kindly helped me ringing a hotel i was travelling to. Much appreciated"

"The hotel is lovely and close to the beach. But, our room was on the ground floor and tiny. The ground floor rooms are an afterthought that were added later, paper thin walls and the bathroom was also tiny. The resort has no parking, so if you are driving you have to find street parking which could be impossible during busy times. I would stay here again, but be more careful about picking a “standard room.”"

"We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Hotel Trias. The hotel has a real European charm. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. We chose a sea-view room with a large balcony, it was so nice! Room and bathroom were large and very nice. Restaurant service was friendly and professional, the food was very good , and the breakfast was very good too. All in all, a great experience, highly recommended."

"We found Hotel Portbo to be a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in the beautiful Calella de Palafrugell. There is a friendly and accommodating staff, the accommodations were clean and well cared for, and the hotel is well-located only about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and the center of town. The hotel does not have elevator, but the gentleman who checked us in was very kind to carry our bags to the third floor upon arrival and departure. Many reviewers praised the free daily breakfast, and I agree that it was a special treat! The buffet was outstanding, with an extensive selection of fresh, delicious foods which were beautifully arranged and were as delicious as they looked! Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and would heartily recommend Hotel Portbo to other travelers."
