The entrance in the hotel is visually stunning.It is designed as a gathering place in First Nations style and you immediately get a sense of peace and harmony.
The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating .We stayed in October ,this meant that the dining room would be closed within two days of our stay .Because of this reason, the dining room would not have everything on it's fairly expensive and limited menu as we found out in ordering wine ,certain salads and entrees.
The weather was absolutely perfect and we were so lucky for our stay mid October .The view from the dining room is stunning and we saw whales as we ate our breakfast and lots of boating activity it was truly wondrous.
If you chose October it is best to arrive mid day as it gets fairly dark in October and there is minimal to no lighting for miles as you approach the lodge .The lodge looks so welcoming and comforting when you arrive in the dark however .
The rooms have a little patio which you could enjoy your first cup of coffee and hear the soothing sound of waves and the good morning sound of the birds .Our room was comfortable and although the hotel is a little dated it was ultra clean .We loved the touch of including Quadra Island soap in the toiletries .There are no TV's in the room but you are able to get wifi .It all felt peaceful and away from everything .
There are hikes and walks starting from the hotel which is really great.
All in all it was really terrific get away and Quadra is stunning.
