"We stayed in the smallest room that was just fine for 2 people. The room had a very small kitchen area that had enough utensils for us to prepare our own simple meals. Wifi was great but tv wasn’t able to connect to anything so we used our own devices for downtime entertainment. "

"This was the most amazing property and hosts we came across during our travels in Germany and France. There were not too many pictures of the apartment on Expedia when I booked, but the apartment surpassed all of our expectations. The apartment was very big, all rooms were very big. "We had a wonderful two-night stay at Hotel Goldener Hirsch. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and well appointed, and we all found the beds comfortable. We loved the common areas on the first and second floors-nice places to sit and read while waiting for other members of our party. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel offered a nice selection of foods in what I would call traditional German style. Lastly, the location of the hotel makes it easy to walk to the center of town, the kriminalsmuseum and other key areas. Overall, this was a great place to stay and we would definitely return if coming to Rothenberg in the future."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gastof Post! As a family of 5 (2 adults travelling with 3 teenagers) it is not easy to find accommodations where we can all be together, but our room was perfect! While not directly in the walled part of town, it isn’t even 10 minutes walk to get there, and it kept us out of some of the hustle and bustle. There is a lovely restaurant as well attached to the hotel. If you have mobility concerns, it may not be the best option, as there is no elevator, but that fact was well advertised so we knew ahead of time that we would be climbing stairs, and that wasn’t a problem for us. Very clean, HUGE bathroom in room 33. An excellent and affordable option!"
