"Its very close to the center of the Mariscal Sucre, and the property is lovely with a beautiful courtyard that gives it a rustic feel in the city. "

Blue door is very close to voto nacional and other great sites, but it does sit very high on a hill which makes exploring on foot a little tougher. Nights in quito get quite cold and it can be especially rough walking to a seperate shared bathroom, although the water pressure was great with plenty of hot water."

"The hotel was nice. I went with my family (my wife and little daughter) and we enjoy it. The staff is actually a family and they were very kind and friendly. The food was good, basically homemade. The room was clean, no so big but was enough for us. For the price the accommodation was very good. "

"Young couple have recently taken over running the place and are enthusiastic and helpful. It{s in the zona rosa nightlife area of Quito, so perfect if you want to party. Downside of that is that there is some distant noise from nightclubs until well into the night, but not too close or annoying for most tired travellers. Hostal is homely and safe, rooms at back have small courtyard with plants where you can have breakfast. Good breakfast for price, with normal bread, jam, and coffee or tea...
