“The Step House hotel was one of our favorite stays on our Ireland trip! We had a beautiful and spacious room that opened onto a terrace overlooking the gardens and mountains in the distance. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast in the 1808 Pub. “The standard room was dark small and uncomfortable had 1 full bed and a twin it’s a a family room I don’t understand why we were assigned that room we are a couple luckily we don’t spend time in the room. Also the pictures on Expedia did not show that the standard room had this format. We complained but were told that is how all the standard rooms are. Pool area isn’t very nice small pool and there wasn’t a hot tub”

“This place is absolutely magical! The property is enchanting, the hostess fascinating and the breakfast out of this world! The shepherd’s huts are so charming, I guess you could call it “glamping”? The one thing I would say is that my knees aren’t great and I found the steps to the huts a little tricky, so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues, but other than that it’s a 10 out of 10! I wish I could have stayed longer.”

“The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. The Pub was full of great people and Matt was super friendly.”

“Well worth the stay for the $200 we paid for one night. Room was spacious and had a Queen, two Twins, and a bunk bed in a side alcove. I’m told it goes for far more, but we enjoyed the night. The pool and gym are good, but they required you to purchase a $5 swim cap if you don’t have one. We’ll be back if we can book a longer stay at a similar price. Enjoy. 3.5 stars out of 5!”
