"The staff are lovely and the location is great The rooms are dated and need refurbishment. The bed was uncomfortable and the king size bed was covered with two small sheets rather than one big one. The sink had a big crack in it. I wouldn’t have sold that room with that sink. There’s a lot of noise from restaurant patrons leaving and the people in the rooms above made a lot of noise at 2am. It felt homely with it's creaky wooden stairs and beautiful bannister; when we came in late at night and let ourselves in through the big door with a key and crept up the stairs to our room so we didn't disturb any others, it felt like coming home! "We were there just over the past wknd. Great location to everywhere. The furniture is a bit old style, the floor made a bit of squeaking sound. Just over a night, so, it’s ok to us. The room is quite spacious room with big TV, but we didn’t bother to use it and used our iPhone and iPad instead. The only tiny complaint is that the bathroom floor need to swiped cleaner. "Hotel in a really good spot. Pretty much right by the motorway but you can't hear the noise. The access is a bit confusing though. Also quite hard to get in at night – couldn’t get through on the phone they provided, and staff response was slow. Automatic check in would be appreciated. Room was clean, but there was still a smell of dirt. It used to be a B&B hotel and now you can really tell the owner change has made things worse."
