"The room was FILTHY. There were press on finger nails underneath the pull out couch along with Burger King wrapper trash. Underneath the bed closest to the air conditioner was an empty Taco Bell cup. Inside one of the cabinets was a cut up straw with residue on it, hopefully wasn’t drug related as we reserved this for my son’s 10th birthday from Alamogordo to have a fishing/cavern excursion. We were in room 302, the family above us on the 4th floor was stomping around day & mostly night time both nights we stayed. Let the front desk people know and nothing was done, the last night we slept there the front desk male individual had the audacity to tell me to be patient that the mother was staying in the room and had two children for spring break with her! We had a ten year old as we were also on a spring break “vacation”. That’s absolutely no excuse and to be told by staff to “give it a little bit maybe the 2 little ones would be in bed and quiet soon” when does consideration for people who paid $333 to stay in a hotel 3 hours away from home come into play? I would expect something other than telling us to be patient with the people above us when we paid to be there! There were no extras in the hotel when it came to hot tubs/pool, just corn hole and if we’d known there was absolutely nothing special for the breakfast options we would have brought stuff to eat! We ended up eating at the local ihop because a banana and a few other fruits and muffins was a pretty pathetic! AWFUL! "

"They switched our room type without telling us. They when I came back down, was told there's nothing else available. I wanted a partial refund and was told I'd have to talk to the manager who of course is not there all weekend. I tried calling the number on her business card that they gave me few times, but each time it gave a busy signal then hung up on me. I eventually gave up, which I'm sure was the plan all along. So in summary, the place is ok otherwise, but do not pay for an upgraded room because they may change it on you and there's nothing you can do about it."
