The property is set in the heart of the shopping district of Reggio Calabria 5 minutes walk from the beach, in a historical building that can only be described as absolutely stunning.
The building is palatial internally and externally with many original features immaculately maintained, with large wooden doors, marble floors and a gorgeous stairway leading from the courtyard to the rooms.
There is a large lounge/drawing room where guests can relax with coffee or wine which are available which takes you back to a more classical age complete with classical furnishings, tables and chairs.
The actual guest room?we stayed in was beautiful with high ceilings and tastefully decorated containing both classical features as well as all modern conveniences including wardrobes, a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, WIFI and a TV offering Netflix, Prime etc.
The bathroom was compact and beautifully presented with fantastic towels, a bidet, a great shower and free standing sink complete with marbled floors and walls.
The beautiful host Clara went above and beyond in her attentiveness to our needs in every way and no request was turned down. She was available at all times and responded immediately to any questions including the provision of a taxi if needed.
This will in future be my go to whenever I come to Reggio Calabria - for the value and experience there is nothing better.
