โCedrela is nestled in the mountains of Costa Rica. It was easy to navigate there. The accommodations are clean, but the standout of Cedrela is the restaurant, Al Mercat. We had a fantastic meal and ate nearly everything on the menu (advice - go with at least 5 people so you can effectively share!). โ
โIf you are looking for a remote place to get away for a bit this is the place. Very basic, but all you need. Owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet!โ
โThis house is truly one of a kind. It felt like stepping into The Croods (the movie)โliving in a cave, but an incredibly luxurious one! The kids said it was like being in a fairytale and were genuinely sad to leave. Tucked away by the river and off the beaten path, it had everything we needed for a magical stay.โ
โA place for blissful peace, mixed with tantalizing gourmet food and or cuisine of your choosing! Rosita is the breakfast cook and cleaning lady, and when I got a cold she made homemade remedies! Also Fran, the chef ordered up ideas, and took suggestions and recommendations for the food... Fran was excellent i wouldn't stay for 5 days and 4 nights a little long....โ
โGreat villa. All new and well maintained. Stunning location, close to the jungle and overlooking the pacific. House has all facilities. Be mindful there is a 15 min or so gravel road to the main road / villageโ
โI had a wonderful stay here! The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, always making sure we felt at home. The food was not only delicious but also very affordable โ such a great surprise! One of my favorite parts was the beautiful forest surroundings, where is thewe could see hummingbirds flying around all the time. It was such a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!

โIt was amazing seeing all the different birds from their restaurant patio. I saw way more kinds of birds including two tucans from here than from the actual birds watching tours. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Nice city view too. โ
โGreat place to stay! Is very quiet and in the middle of the jungle but still 5 mins from the beach. Staff is really nice, will come back for sure!โ
โOverall excellent. Only (minor) problem was that the first night was pretty cold, and there was no heat in the room. The second night the host provided a ceramic electric heater and that made the cabin very cosy.โ
โDue to the rain we had a ton of bugs in the room. It was kinda gross. Otherwise things were great! Also the road up to the resort was very brutal. Luckily our driver was a good sport.โ
