Our room was fantastic… spacious, modern and clean. We had breakfast included and there was quite a good variety of food to choose from (over and above the typical European coffee and pastry). Great location in proximity to the train station, there’s the typical crowd you usually find around train stations but the streets were actually cleaner than anticipated. Would make a great hub for exploring the city

This hotel was perfect for what I needed it for, which was a place to stay between train trips, close to the Opera house because we had tickets for a performance there. The staff was incredibly nice—I had booked two nights as separate reservations due to a change of plans, and the man at the front desk arranged it so that we could stay in the same room even though the bookings were for different types of rooms. I was also pleased as it was the only bathtub I had in Italy, and the beds were not as hard as some other places we stayed. I wouldn’t want to stay in this part of Rome for long unless I needed access to Termini as it’s not a very charming area, but it served its purpose for my needs. I didn’t try the breakfast as we decided to skip that in favor of getting cornettos and cappuccinos at a cafe.

Hotel California was awesome. Very clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful. Close to the train station so was easy to get to the metro. Would definitely stay there again.

Property was convenient for getting to the Roma Termini. Now the Room was VERY SMALL. The bed was the worst bed I have ever slept on and forget about the pillows. Woke up neck hurting and back aching all over..........would think twice before booking here.

A little ways away from Rome Termini, and 2 blocks away from the City Tour Bus stop, this place was decently nice. Air conditioned and plenty of room for however many people are staying. Breakfast was ok.

I stayed at this hotel and while the overall experience was fine for its level, the service from one staff member, Tamer at the front desk was unacceptable. On August 19th, my son, who has a severe nut allergy, had an allergic reaction after eating a croissant at breakfast. I had specifically asked the kitchen staff if the croissant contained nuts, and they assured me it didn't. However, the chocolate topping contained Nutella, which triggered his allergy. We had to cancel our tour, rush to a pharmacy, and my son vomited multiple times to minimize the reaction.Thankfully, we managed without using his EpiPen. When I returned to the hotel and informed Tamer about the situation, he was dismissive and unsympathetic. Instead of apologizing, he blamed the incident on the previous night's meal and even argued that the croissant was nut-free because the nuts were only in the topping. He showed a complete lack of knowledge, compassion, and professionalism. Despite his promise to flag the issue to management, I received no follow-up or apology. Additionally, on the day of our departure, Tamer's service was equally poor. We had requested to store our luggage, which was confirmed the day before. Tamer instructed us to leave our bags in an unsupervised visitor area, refusing to store them securely in the back room despite our concerns about valuables in our backpacks. When I returned later to find the back room empty, I confronted him and he falsely claimed there had been no space earlier

The hotel is situated in a very convenient location for Termini Station, just 2-3 minute walk. There are alot of restaurants, take out places and small shops nearby but the area isn't clean. The reception and breakfast staff were great and very helpful. There is a lift up to the rooms which are on the top floors of the building. We had a executive quadruple room. It is very basic. King size bed on one side, twin beds on another and a bathroom and wardrobe in between. The bathroom is big with plenty of towels and it is clean but in need of a redecoration for the silicone and plaster coming off walls due to moisture. Basic toiletries provided. There is a small fridge with a mini bar but we just used this to keep our own water cold. There is a small counter like table which runs along one wall but ours was wonky so things rolled off it if not careful. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall. The windows do not cut outside noise out. The tram runs right past which actually isnt a problem but people arguing outside at 4:30am woke us. The hotel provide a good breakfast. Lovely pastries, tea, coffee, juice, a small selection of cereals, ham, cheese, bread. There wasn't a great selection of fresh fruit which is the only thing that needed improving for breakfast. Aircon in the room worked well but it was noisy. We cooled the room in the day and turned it off when we went to sleep and the room stayed cool all night so the noise of it didnt matter.
