The room was in a close location to the train station. The air conditioner and the hot water almost didn’t work. On top of this I was charged triple the confirmed amount and had to prove and wait until I was refunded the difference.

The room is in need of a makeover. Plus, I tried to contact the staff via Expedia and all my messages were left unanswered. The small refrigerator in the room leaked significant amount of water, causing a pair of shoes to be quite wet. Wall need repairs. The place is overall not super well maintained. The door is paper thin and we can hear everything in the corridor, and the corridor can hear everything from the room. Thankfully, we were lucky enough for it not to disturb us but it is something to know. On the plus side, the bed is quite comfortable and it is quite close to Termini. We will not return.

For us the property was fine, in a great location but rarely jaded old room in a bit of a state of disrepair. The issues that had been raised by others had not been addresses hence the low rating. The air conditioning barely worked. With some care and listening to feedback this place could be 5 star with just a little work

I was charged twice for the booking which meant 1 payment went through and 1 was pending for 11 days on my account with $700AUD on hold, it eventually cleared but very frustrating. The room was ok itself but the shower was full of black mould, the tiles were cracked, the shower tap was broken and the shower head hardly stayed still. The hotel needs a massive renovation it wasn’t nice at all

Positives: The hotel was conveniently located close to the train station which we needed for one night. It was also close to restaurants and Santa Maria Maggiore. Check-in instructions were easy and clear. We felt pretty safe as there were multiple doors that needed keypad access before our room. The area around the train station is sketchy. Negatives: room smelled like weed and there were small flies everywhere and ants in the bathroom. I took a shower with the shower door closed and somehow there was a massive leak all over the floor. The air conditioner was not working well and building staff was dismissive (they did offer help but ended up implying that I set it up wrong even though I followed their simple instructions). The blow dryer took a chunk out of my hair. The toilet wasn’t flushing properly the morning we left and we only put toilet paper in it. It had a horrible smell to it. The TV didn’t turn on. I don’t usually write such negative reviews but this was far too expensive for what is essentially a private hostel room. Beware!
