The only place we stay in Rome, stayed here at least 6 times over the years in various rooms, the Panoramic just beautiful, truly “our home in Rome”! We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Scalinata di Spagna! The location could not have been better. Being right at the top of the Spanish Steps was such a special way to experience Rome. We could walk out the door and immediately be in the middle of everything, with beautiful streets, restaurants, shopping and so many of Rome’s sights within easy walking distance. Our room was clean, comfortable and a wonderful place to come back to after long days exploring the city. We also really appreciated how convenient the hotel was for getting around Rome while still feeling like we had a comfortable retreat at the end of the day. Great breakfast to start our day right.

Hotel Scalinata is a beautiful boutique property at the top of the Spanish Steps. The room was well air conditioned. Perfect during the summer heat wave. The staff was very nice and they kept our room very clean during our stay. The on site breakfast was very convenient and had a good variety. Overall it was a lovely stay in Rome and would highly recommend.

This is our favorite “ little hotel” on the hill in Rome. You’ll feel the energy of the nearby Spanish Steps. We loved the breakfasts and the glorious views of the Vatican and Rome. These are not large rooms but special rooms. If you can afford it, the top suite is one of the finest views you will ever see in a major city.

Everything about this place was just amazing ! Starting from the owner and Claire the receptionist! They were sooooo helpful and helped answer all our questions and even Claire was seeet enough to help us out figure some transportation quiries , Breakfast was a hit and everything was fresh . We had the 2 room apartment and it had that classy Italian taste and was super clean . Definitely would recommend this place .

Location is amazing! Great experience overall. The only detail was at breakfast the table next to us was not clean after other passengers left. We will go back

This was a beautiful property at the top of the Spanish Steps. My wife and I stayed one night before departing for Bari. The room was clean and cool, despite being 40° outside. The complementary, sparkling wine and breakfast were amazing as well.
