“The property is basically in the city center, in walking distance from the main tourist attractions. It has a lovely patio/garden with tables that can be enjoyed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed a lot our stay there!”

“I would highly recommend il genio. The entrance is a little daunting but once you find your bearings the accommodation is faultless. Our room was spotlessly clean and well thought out with simple but effective fixtures and fittings. The bathroom was fabulous. The air conditioning a real bonus in 35 degrees heat. The communal area was well thought out and equipped. Any queries at all were answered instantly by WhatsApp.”

The pool, sauna and rouladen blinds led up to the most restful sleep, which we needed. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. The breakfast - delightful. “The check-in experience was terrible. There was no check-in procedure sent to me beforehand. We arrived at the gate at 4PM and couldn't get into the gate. (The expedia website said Check-in time starts at 3:00 PM, Check-in time ends at 9:00 PM). I had contacted the host via Expedia and Whatsapp for over 2 hours and there was no response. I almost lost hope and prepared to find another hotel. I gave it a last shot via jumping over the fence and knocking at random rooms to find help....
