Highly recommended Kong Arthur hotel

The hotel is great. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. I was given an upgrade to a large room which I appreciated. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is on an island and rather secluded, especially at night. The famed Freetown Christiania is barely ten minutes away and there are many coffee shops nearby.

This will be a strange review in that I didn't leave the room for the entire stay. I didn't eat in the restaurant, and I didn't explore the area, although the area looked to be amazing. I came down with food poisoning and double pneumonia while in Berlin ( on my way to Copenhagen.) The staff could not have been kinder. When, on a Sunday, when I inquired about a clinic, they saw to it that a doctor came to the hotel. That alone makes this hotel stand out in my mind.

We liked the location, amazing breakfast, lobby, facilities yet to improve 1) restaurant for lunch / dinner as super limited options and not much to choose from 2) don’t charge for early check in, they charge extra if you want even come an hour before

on a trip to Denmark with family, including two younger children. This hotel made a great places stay in Roskilde. Close to all major attractions, quiet, and clean, easy parking. Decent breakfast in the morning too! The mattresses in the beds were a bit uncomfortable but not a deal breaker. Cute play area for the kids in the lobby. Would stay again.

Great overall experience. Location was nice, central to Copenhagen and many southern vacation activities to do and see. We stayed 2 days there so as not to pay the higher prices in the big city and it was an easy liesurely drive to the airport the next day. However, the flight was an international flight at 1500 the next day so you might want something closer for earlier flights. We got spoiled in Sweden having stayed where the breakfast is free. Very neat and clean. The property management responded quickly to any needs or concerns. This was a perfect choice for all my trip plans. I would definitely stay here again!

LOVE this very charming hotel!! It was like I was staying at the home of a dear friend or family member. When I checked into the hotel I felt a very kind and warm welcome. Reception desk area has a cozy fireplace with colorful relaxing couches and comfy chairs. It’s newly renovated so it still has that “new car smell”.
