“The property is timber framed and old, really old. Cleanliness and condition is very good but this building needs constant maintenance. We loved it, it’s very old and full of history. Very cute little town, very nice surroundings. We hit it in the middle of a heat wave and there is no AC, in fact there’s likely no AC in most of the village but the normal temperature does not require it. We were just unlucky. “Angel Inn is close to the centre of Petworth, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a large modern bath and separate shower and everything was very clean. We appreciated the teapot in the room and selection of teas, also the complimentary flapjack. We ate in the restaurant area of the inn and had an excellent meal. ”

“Room was clean, bed comfortable, easy to find and breakfast was nice! It was fine for one night, but there was an awful smell from the shower. The drain looked clean but unfortunately we had to sleep with the bathroom door closed and windows open! We also waited 15 mins for someone to check us in. On checkout when mentioning the smell, we were told there were known issues but no apology. At £180/night it was definitely overpriced!”

“Stayed in the loft double room for 3 nights. The room is quite rustic and not massive. It did have an en-suite shower room. However, it does need some updating as the sink is cracked and the shower and tiling quite dated. Staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was top notch, plentiful and extremely tasty.”
