Arrivée tardive (encore nos excuses) mais prevenu, le patron nous avait préparé un repas froid. Merci. Situation de l'hôtel très appréciable à proximité immédiate de Saint Jean Pied de Port. Chambre fonctionnelle propre. Petits dejeuner copieux.

Habitacion un poco pequeña. Suficiente de todas maneras para una noche. Eso si, todo muy limpio. El restaurante no lo probamos . Muy cerca de San Juan Pie de Puerto.

A little gem in the basquese countryside

Very nice tenants, amazing food. Stay there for dinner! Superb landscape. Nice, clean and quiet French village in the basquese countryside. The breakfast could be more sophisticated for some guests. Highly recommended.

Will try somewhere else next time.

Although very small on the map, the road that borders the hotel is quite busy in the morning with traffic from trucks (some at speed), cars and tractors. With your window open, this is an unwanted early morning wake-up call (Rooms on the other side of the hotel should be quieter). Rooms are small but clean and breakfast is basic but you can purchase cooked dishes. Evening dinner taken on the terrace was ok with terrific views over the Pyrenees a real bonus. Although having had all our small requests answered promptly, the owner has nonetheless a little bit of an attitude

La qualité et la gentillesse

Accueil comme en famille. Le sourire et la gentillesse sont au rendez-vous. Une anecdote : le premier soir au repas, la patronne me dit que la maison ne fait pas de frite. Rien à dire. Ayant quelques problèmes d'appétit, le lendemain soir elle me dit : ''mon mari peut vous faire des frites si vous le souhaitez''. Il y a longtemps que je n'ai pas mangé de frites maison aussi bonne.

The couple who run the hotel went out of their way to make us comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel served great local fare. This was a great place to stay before starting the Camino de Santiago.

Wonderful hosts.

Pasco & Bette are very helpful. The hotel is located in a very peaceful setting. The dinner is very good. A surprising number of choices.

Un bon moment

Je ne serais pas très objectif car je considère le pays Basque au même titre que la Bretagne et la Corse comme des régions particulières par leurs différences à sauvegarder la langue, les traditions culturellles, leurs environnements, à l'heure où l'on parle de mondialisation, il est à noter que nombres de touristes ou même de locaux recherchent et encouragent par leurs intérêts cette vision donc notemmment au pays Basque vous ne serez pas déçus qui joue entre mer et montagne sur beaucoup de registres de découvertes. Quand à l'hôtel, si vous aimez les gens acceuilllants, aux sourires généreux, attentionnés aux biens-être de ses clients avec une bonne table aux produits régionaux alors vous ne serez pas déçus. Je leur souhaite une belle et bonne continuation. Un rapport qualité/prix très honnête . Pascal un aquitain d'origine bretonne ayant pas mal bourlingué en France et ailleurs...

pleasant stay in small town

This small hotel, with restaurant much larger than the few eating there required, has small rooms, in rather old condition. The owners/operators are friendly, the little town with its red-roofed white buildings is easy to walk about, and its close to St. Jean Pied due Port, with convenient free parking. Being in the country, the night skies are amazing! We enjoyed the stay even though the facilities of the hotel weren't great.

한 밤중에 기차역에 도착해서...

제가 이곳을 예약할 때, 한국에서 인터넷으로 검색하고 이곳을 찾은 것이라 그 위치를 잘 모르고 있었고, 막상 그곳을 찾아갔을 때는 기차역에 도착 한 시간이 무려 밤 10시가 가까워졌을 때였습니다. 그곳을 도착해서 둘러보니~ 버스는 물론이고 택시도 찾아 볼 수가 없었습니다. 하지만 그 호탤에 전화를 하고 그쪽으로 가는 방법이 없으니 도와달라고 했는데, 그 전화를 받았던 호탤 주인이 '자기가 기차역으로 나오겠으니 기다려달라'고 해서 저는 많이 고마웠습니다. 늦은 시간까지 손님을 기다려주는 호탤 주인의 마음이 저에게 따뜻히게 다가올 수 있었습니다. 비록 다음날 성지 순례를 하기 위해서 다시 생장 피트 포드 성벽으로 택시를 타고 나올 수 밖에 없었지만, 그날 밤에 그 호탤에서 한국에서 가져온 짐을 풀 수 있어서 좋았습니다.
