“The staff were really friendly when we arrived and the rooms were large, and beds comfortable enough. However, the sink was leaking in the room, which had a towel placed under it, so I sense the staff were aware of the leak. Despite us staying in October time, it was quite noisy within the hotel and it woke us multiple times in the night. “Overall, a very good place to stay, with a fairly central location. We arrived late on a Sunday afternoon, and finding the hotel was a challenge — it is listed on a small plaque outside a locked gate. After contacting the property directly through Expedia, we were able to contact Selma (property manager), who was absolutely wonderful. “The interior of the building was right out of a 1920's villa. Marble everywhere. Beautiful decor. The staff was exceedingly helpful about the history and sights to see. This was only supposed to be a stopover before we went to the Amalfi Coast. There was so much to see, I should have scheduled a couple more days.”
