Las Arenas has quite a smart reception area that suggests it was once in a rather better state than it is now. The apartments are in definite need of updating - splits in the doors, and a poor shower screen that meant it was easy to virtually flood the bathroom. Not that my showers lasted long, as the water was only hot for a very short burst at a time.
The TV is supposedly set up for Netflix and YouTube, but the signal is constantly weak and I couldn’t access either. The pool area is locked, with a key card required - this incurs a €20 cash deposit; something not mentioned on check-in and surely an inconvenience for many in an age where cash use is declining. Quite who they think will be desperate to sneak into an unheated pool is beyond me.
Some serious investment is needed here to make it anything more than purely functional (and not even that in some cases) accommodation.
