Find Adventure Hotels in Sangre de Cristo Mountains

"I stay in a lot of corporate hotels for work. They are clean, dependable, and boring. When I travel for fun, I try to find distinct, clean, fun (and cheap) hotels. This place was a win. It is definitely very old, but it is clean and well kept. We loved having a pool and hot tub. The included breakfast was great (those tamales were fantastic) and the overall feel was a throwback to those lost days of Americana. I’d definitely stay again. "

Employees are attentive to guest's needs, authentically friendly at all times of the day, expertise is evident from the grounds crew to the front desk to the executive chef(s) & hosts, and accommodations and services are super high quality! "Stayed 2 nights and there was severe construction noise across the street starting at 7am, second day was quiet. Shower needs another glass panel in back to keep water off the floor, and the kitchen seating is too tall for comfort at the counter. Front window is great for light, but needs a privacy curtain that allows light to transmit. Aside from these annoyances, the rest of the experience was very good. Check in instructions were never sent, and it has to be done at their slopeside sister...

"Everything was great from check in to departure. The bathrooms need to be updated. There was mold on the tile in the bathtub and the tub was very old. Everything else was perfect!"

"I needed to change rooms and the staff had a new room ready for me within 20 minutes. Staff was very friendly and responsive. Also. The breakfast was great. I will stay there again"
