"It was actually a good nice hotel within its category. Excellent location. Everything very clean and bathroom recently refurbished. There is parking nearby but you have to look for it - No guarantees on parking."
"The hotel is a well maintained classic older hotel. The lobby and seating area are extensive and very comfortable. Breakfast in their dining room was very good. The walk to the center takes about 10-15 minutes, but it is a pleasant walk. We were on the 4th floor with a balcony and the view was excellent."
"The hotel was extremely noisy at night because we had to keep the windows open. The air conditioning was not working in May, apparently because the hotel considers it “not summer yet.” Unfortunately, it was around 30°C during our stay, so sleeping without air conditioning was impossible. With the windows open, the noise from outside made it very difficult to sleep. This was very disappointing and significantly affected our comfort."
"Location: very central, walking distance to station, walking distance to all the restaurants and the beach restaurants, and the piers/portosole.
Cons: I could not sleep well because my room, the studio with kitchenette, was sandwiched between occupied rooms where the walls were thin. I can hear the tv in a room either next to me or above me til 11pm and I think nextdoor and above I can here two women and two men talking up a storm til 11pm. Outside my unit was quiet and I didn’t know where the rooms it was coming from; all can be heard inside the rooms. I actually went for a walk to at night to get away to calm my nerves and next day was extremely tired and was unable to extend my stay. With the lack of sleep I wasn’t feeling very well.
Positives:
The staff is extremely nice and sympathetic and offered me a 1 standalone bedroom separate from other unit. They were doing their very best to be helpful. The complimentary bicycles on property is so convenient and I think so only way one should travel out of convenience. I even took it for free on the Train to Ventigmiia where I had lunch near the new port there which would take forever to get too by walking. So convenient !
The kitchen was fully stocked with pans and cutlery. The fridge was a good size which is great for anyone staying for a week"
