This property is the best stay we've had in a while. We felt pampered from the very first day. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very helpful, especially Sophia. The location was very convenient to everything, and the views was "out of this world". I cannot say enough good things about the place and the staff. They truly did go above and beyond.

We loved staying at Caldera Cliff Illusions! It is just outside of the busy area so it is pretty quiet. You are really close to your neighbors but that didn't bother us- everyone was respectful. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel was amazing! The staff was so kind and attentive from the wonderful receptionist, Sofia, to the housekeepers and people who served breakfast. The breakfast was fresh, delicious and big portion sizes. Perfect location in Fira being walking distance from basically everything. Very clean and tidy with amazing views. I wish we could have stayed longer!

A nice view, but not quite "Luxury", more of an "Illusion" Having stayed at several other hotels across Greece during this trip, I wouldn't call this "Luxury". It feels more like an upscale guesthouse. The room had a nice patio with a good view, and breakfast is delivered to your room each morning which is a nice touch - though my wife found it a little less appealing after catching a glimpse of the basement kitchen it comes from. The biggest issue during our stay was a strong sewer smell coming from the shower drain- likely a P-trap problem. We ended up covering the drain and keeping the windows open, which helped. We mentioned it to the staff, who were friendly about it and said they'd follow up, though it never got resolved. We didn't push it further as we only had a few short days on the island and didn't want to spend them chasing the issue. Reading between the lines though, I suspect it's a known problem - the room had a very strong air freshener smell when we arrived, which in hindsight was probably there for a reason. One other thing worth knowing: the rooms and patios are quite close together, closer than the photos suggest. You can see and hear neighbouring guests easily, which surprised a few people we spoke to during the stay. Overall, the location is genuinely good, but I wish I'd done a bit more research beforehand - there are a lot of options at this price point and I think some of them offer better value for what you're getting.
