"Zimmer prima - ein bißchen rustikal und eben was man erwartet, wenn man ein Landhaus bucht. Rezeption auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Genauso beim Frühstück. Und was ich schon länger nicht mehr erlebt habe: wenn man abends noch ein Getränk möchte, dann gibt es einen Aufenthaltsraum mit Kühlschrank, aus dem man sich bedienen kann. Abrechnung auf Vertrauensbasis per "Laufzettel" :-) Daumen hoch!"

"Das 3. Bett war ein unzumutbar harter Schlafsessel, auf dem nur uneben ungemütlich schmerzhaft zu schlafen war. Ein anderes Beistellbett wurde auf meine Nachfrage hin am nächsten Tag allerdings sofort aufgestellt. Das Frühstücksbuffett ist für satte 14 Euro extremst spärlich gehalten mit nur einer Fruchtart und keiner Brotauswahl, es gab nur Brötchen und kleine Croissants. "

"Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."
