The good things first: the room and hallways were clean, the bedding and towels were fluffy and nice, the grounds were clean and well groomed, and the staff were efficient and nice. The not good things: we felt less than safe as the exterior doors had no locks and we were in a building that was unstaffed, our window did not lock nor shut properly. We were charged $13.50 a night to park in an empty parking lot, the Expedia listing shows $12 a night. The listing says the pool is open until October but it was closed and had been for some time. The listing says there is daily housekeeping; there is not, if you need your trash emptied you can put the can in the hall and somebody is supposed to pick it up. The breakfast baked goods were expired the day we picked them up and they ran out of drinking water.

I would rate this as an average location. CONS: Evening front desk check-in employee was rather unfriendly. I had booked two rooms (on same reservation) through a third party (expedia). Listed a different name on both rooms at time of booking, so I guess that means you don't get to check-in to both rooms at the same time? Front Desk employee was rather rude when I asked about the second room after only giving me one. Several separate buildings that are spread out. No elevators, so if your room is located anywhere but main building lower level, you will be carrying your luggage up several flights of stairs. Hot water not working in our room/building on first morning (front desk staff did however kindly fix the issue in a timely manner). Slightly outdated complex. PROS: Morning/day front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Fairly clean complex. Price reasonable. Convenient location. Lots of parking available (not sure why they needed to charge $13 a night, should be free). Quiet. Morning "grab-n-go" was ok. Consisted of individually wrapped bagels and pastries, along with a few other items. Probably would not choose this location again.

The property is nothing fancy and is somewhat dated but nevertheless it’s in a prime location and the staff make everything very easy and fast. I’ve stayed here 4 times and really enjoy it.

Got to the Hotel pretty late so we didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. But in the morning, there were ants all over the table between the beds and the desk and the window also out shower did not drain and need someone to come in and clean and spray our room. Although Maintenance was very kind the ants can’t back. I asked to be moved to a different room and was informed that there were no rooms available when the parking lot was literally empty! Not only that the door to go into the hall to get to our room did not lock so anyone could have walked down our halls! Definitely will not be staying here again! Also front staff girls are RUDE!

I love the patio direct outdoor access. lovely, convenient and comfortable. Shame they’re letting it go downhill. The lock on the back door doesn’t work properly; gardens are sad, pavement is patched and bumpy. But the bed was comfortable. Too bad about the black mold in the grout. And the restaurant is closed. Sigh.

There were absolutely no elevators. Staff did not offer to help with bags. We had to walk around and around pulling all luggage’s ourselves and carrying them up stairs. When we found the building, the glass door was broken and it looked tampered with. The room was very old and outdated. Balcony door was filth. We were scared to even open it!

When I checked in I was told nothing except where my room was, no check out time, nothing about the continental breakfast, etc. Another person checked in at the same time and they were given lots of information which I heard. My guy had no name tag and dressed like he was out for a run.

For the price, the Red Lion is great for a quick stay. The building we stayed in had the exterior door broken. So anyone could come inside the building, even at night. It was concerning, but after 2 nights no kind of criminal activity happened. Perhaps it's a low crime area. The pool is outdoor, and cold. The grab and go breakfast was awesome though. They shut down promptly at 9am.
