“Our host at Au Fer à Cheval was Romain, a friendly and helpful man. He owns about 20 English thoroughbred race horses, as well as breeds them. His farm is in a beautiful location with lovely views. It was unfortunately cold and wet for the two nights that we were there, so we couldn't use the pool, and the roads were too slippery for him to take us out in his horse-drawn carriage, but we did see two of his retired racing mares with their foals. “L'hôtel est en travaux mais hôtes très accueillant. Voulant télétravailler le lendemain, et compliqué de se concentrer avec le bruit des travaux par moment en journée, Monsieur m'a gentiment proposé une autre chambre pour être tranquille. J'ai beaucoup apprécié le geste. Je pense que d'ici les beaux jours avec les travaux fini ça va être formidable comme lieu 🙂”
