Nice stopover option between Stavanger & Oslo

A classic old hotel, great front desk service, we had a pleasant stay easy to find, easy tio park, nice room, good dinner and nice breakfast.

Had a great dinner. Minimal dr. staff taking care of guests but managing exceptionally well. Room was comfortable, great towels in bathroom. One comment. Dining room was mostly set up with tables for more than 2 people but most guests were couples maybe offer more tables/2

The Seljord hotel is a charming well maintained hotel in Telemark County, Norway. Breakfasts were excellent - full hot breakfast buffet. Dinners have pizza and a very small selection of typical Norwegian dishes. Note that the hotel elevator only goes to the 2nd floor - if you get a 3rd floor room you will be hefting luggage up and down one set of stairs. Bar service is available from 3PM and prices are very reasonable (for Norway). Our 2nd floor room had a spacious balcony. As most hotels in Norway, air conditioning is accomplished by opening the windows.

Da vi ankom, ble resepsjonisten forbauset fordi "vi allerede var sjekket inn". Det var åpenbart at vårt opprinnelige rom var gitt bort til andre gjester ved en feil fra hotellets side. Rommet som vi da fikk tildelt, viste seg å være fullt av fukt og som det senere viste seg; vann på gulv og list. Dette ble straks påpekt til resepsjonisten som erkjente feilen, men som ikke kunne tilby bytte av rom. Fukt og mugg utgjør en helserisiko for alle, og ble ekstra vanskelig for meg siden jeg har allergi mot fukt og mugg. I etterkant er det blitt noen samtaler over mobil, men ingen svar på eposter om hendelsen. Jeg er skuffet over at hotellet ikke tar ansvar for hendelsen.

Vår familie på fire overnattet på Seljord hotell i forbindelse med besøk i Bø sommarland da vi ønsket et rolig hotell. Vennlig personale, og fint familierom. Rimelig priset. Frokosten var god, og også middagen i hotellets restaurant var meget bra. Flotte og historiske omgivelser, og et rolig og behagelig hotell. Anbefales!

Dette var en dårlig opplevelse. Ved innsjekk, som var sammen med baren tok det så lang tid. Det var en kunde, meg og tre ansatte… Rommet var slitent og veldig lytt. Men badet var helt grusomt. Det luktet sopp og råte, måtte holde pusten for orke å være der inne. Tapeten ramlet nesten av veggen Helt grusomt. Frokosten var overstekt egg som var uspiselige, samme med bacon. Ingen til å ta tallerknene eller passe på at det ble fylt på. Men matlysten hadde allerede blitt borte. Ikke verdt turen, noe som er synd med disse gamle hotellene, de må vedlikeholdes

Veldig koselig hotell, men ganske slitt. Bad og toalett nede i resepsjonen var det jeg vil kalle retro. Frokosten var god og sengene var veldig gode.
