The website shows that the hotel provides an airport shuttle service, but they do NOT. It cost about 40 euros from the hotel to the airport for two people. The staff was amazing and super friendly. The hotel itself is very basic and our room had trouble getting cool even with the air set on 15! Close to the airport was helpful for our 6am flight.

Great food breakfast and dinner. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the room and easy to taxi from airport...therebis no airport shuttle as advertised. But taxis were plentiful and pleasant.

The Gate Hotel was not what we expected especially from the pictures. Breakfast was awful, eggs were green. Croissants were the only thing that was good to eat. The staff in there except for the Barista guy weren't friendly, they acted as if we were a nousance to them. The room was kept clean. Our main concern was the air conditioning that was there but basically non-existent, barely worked and we had to buy a fan to sleep at night. Plus there were all sorts of bugs in our room plus we got bitten by mosquitoes as well which was very uncomfortable

We booked this hotel because it said they have airport shuttle and it is 10 min away from airport since we are leaving early in the morning, however there was no shuttle service, although they will help you to call car service. So I felt this info was incorrect and misleading. We had to take taxi into center of Florence and took taxi back, we would booked other hotel in center of the city. Other than that, People were nice , we have no other issues.

Lovely

Its a lovely hotel. Only hotel that gave me complimentary water. Breakfast buffet was fabulous. Staff attended to me promptly. Rooms are neat and big and the ambience is very welcoming. Only issue is the distance. Its located along the highway on the outskirts of town. I cant say its worth the distance (1hr 30mins from town) but its a lovely hotel

We chose The Gate because it is 10-minute taxi ride from Florence Airport. The room was great for the low price. The restaurant in the hotel served decent food, too. They arranged for our 4:00 am taxi to the airport.

We were there three nights. we ate well we slept well. Very friendly and helpful staff. we want to send a big thank you to Paola who with great patience and competence explained about Florence and Pisa and its communications. A fantastic person. Special thanks to the nice Mary in the kitchen who gave us good espresso and espresso.
