"I'm a coach driver who has visited, literally, hundreds of hotels a year for 50 years. This was a private visit, paid out of my own pocket, to attend my Niece's graduation from Exeter University (she got a 1st!). It is hard to impress me with service, but the Dolphin exceeded all my expectations. The staff were nothing short of fantastic, the rooms were spotless, and the breakfast worth far more than I paid. Excellent parking, fantastic service, and I'll be bringing my family back for another stay."

"Fantastic stay! We stayed in a Comfy Plus room which had a huge, comfy bed. The room was spacious with an equally good sized bathroom containing a modern rainfall shower. The breakfast was excellent and parking was really handy too. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful. We ate in the pub in the evening and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely return! Thanks"

"We only had a one night stay in the twin room and participated in an evening meal. Whilst the room was adequate and amenities average for a hotel this size, any distraction from the room, was totally overwritten by the outstanding attention to service provided by the staff….and wonderful food. Both the evening meal & breakfast were well above average. We thanked the young manager and suggested his staff were a credit to his obvious hard work and professionalism.😌"

"We were greeted with a handshake which is always a good start. Our hosts, Neil and Rosemarie were welcoming and eager to make sure our stay was a good one. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom and shower. We were pleased with the coffee machine and the fridge on the landing for the cold milk. The small touches are what makes this hotel a special one. The bar downstairs proved popular to watch the world cup and we appreciated the hospitality during the evening. Breakfast was cooked to order and taken on the deck. The swimming pool was excellent. Car parking is easy and plentiful. One small point is that we would have appreciated a fan in our room which was very hot. Given the extremely high temperatures we are all experiencing it might be something to consider for the future. Otherwise everything was absolutely fine and of a very high standard."

"Fantastic location to escape busy nearby seaside towns,accomodation was basic but eco friendly and has its own charm.what else do you need to relax and rest after all day at the beach? . We had a room on the second floor,the view from the window was great;,meadow and trees .the smell of the lavenders at the evening from the front yeard were truly amazing! The staff member who welcomed us was friendly and polite ,and she showed us around everything. The breakfast was self serviced based ,but my son was excited he could cook his own scrambled eggs in a kids friendly kitchen and had fun doing his own toast in the toaster.everything was really easy reachable and handy in the kitchen and dining area. We were eating breakfast in the communal area where all guest can sit together. We really enjoyed our stay at the court. I genuinely recommend it. It's also worth to visit the small garden opposite the court,it's open 10-4 every day and you can leave small donation in the front if you want to."

"We initially walked straight past reception as it wasn't immediately obvious, the receptionist was hidden behind the very high desk and certainly wasn't the most helpful - I don't think she wanted to be there! The room was ok but the lack of light was an issue when trying to read in bed and it was very hot and stuffy (obviously not helped by this weather, but it took me a couple of days to be able to open the window.) The bathroom was lovely and clean with toiletries provided and plenty of towels. All in all it was an OK stay, but I wouldn't rush back."

"Everything was great. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is very well organized and maintained. It is also an excellent choice for families with children, offering a comfortable and welcoming environment. We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it to other travellers."
