The rooms are spacious, with sitting areas and balconies, but also a bit quirky in design. We had one dinner at the hotel and two breakfasts. The food was excellent--and reasonably priced. I would happily return to this hotel, given the opportunity."

"We stayed at Tsubaki House en route to Kamikatsu. It was a nice change from hotel rooms. An entire house with nice water view exactly as per the photos. The property is very private and accessed by a narrow road. Staff that handled check in and check out super friendly and proactive. They were very helpful. Take some food for BBQ. There are some places to eat in driving distance. Great place to stay for a family or small group."

"Excellent hotel all around. Very good Japanese style breakfast. Less than five minutes walk from Dogo Onsen station and less than a minute to Dogo Onsen itself. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. Yukata are provided for your onsen visit. Tons of shopping and restaurants. I would definitely recommend it."

"Everything was great!! It was a bit confusing that there are 2 Domy Inn in the city. We went to the wrong one first. Then when we were checking in at the correct one, a couple was told they were in the wrong hotel. Maybe they need to think about naming a bit different…"

"The hotel is located on a hillside not far from Miyaura Port. In the morning, rooms with balconies offer beautiful views and sunrises. Walking to the port doesn’t take long, and along the way you can see the red pumpkin and white birdcage illuminated by lights, creating a unique atmosphere in the evening. Our stay was truly heartwarming, and we wish to extend our deepest gratitude to Shimasaki-san, she went above and beyond to assist us, and her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression. We sincerely hope this kind-hearted lady, who treasures art museums yet is even more devoted to her work in hospitality, finds great success in the future."
